Elle se pr\u00e9sente sous la forme d&rsquo;une tige \u00e9cailleuse \u00e0 la base et tr\u00e8s feuill\u00e9e au-dessus. Les feuilles sont oppos\u00e9es ou parfois verticill\u00e9es, de forme lanc\u00e9ol\u00e9e, et de longueur pouvant atteindre 10 cm. Les fleurs sont regroup\u00e9es en grappes jaunes \u00e0 l&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de longs p\u00e9doncules prenant naissance aux aisselles des feuilles m\u00e9dianes. Ces grappes sont des thyrses, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire un regroupement de fleurs dispos\u00e9es en cymes.<br \/>\nLa\u00a0<em>Lysimaque \u00e0 fleurs en thyrse<\/em>\u00a0est une plante de r\u00e9gion froide qui cro\u00eet dans les marais et au bord des cours d&rsquo;eau, en particulier dans le nord-est et le centre de l&rsquo;Europe. Elle est aussi pr\u00e9sente au Canada et dans le nord-est des Etats-Unis ainsi qu&rsquo;en Sib\u00e9rie mais de fa\u00e7on plus discontinue.<br \/>\nC&rsquo;est une esp\u00e8ce tr\u00e8s rare en France. Elle n&rsquo;y est pr\u00e9sente que dans quelques stations tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9es les unes des autres. La plus importante se situe dans le massif central, dans une zone tr\u00e8s localis\u00e9e du massif de la Margeride.
