candida<\/span><\/em>\u00a0est parfois consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme une sous-esp\u00e8ce de Nymphaea alba, mais \u00e0 proprement parler, il s’agit d’une esp\u00e8ce relativement petite et ind\u00e9pendante de n\u00e9nuphar rustique. Elle fait partie des esp\u00e8ces sauvages incluses dans la section\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea<\/span><\/em>\u00a0(sect.\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea<\/span><\/em>\u00a0) du sous-genre\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea<\/span><\/em>\u00a0. Elle pousse abondamment dans l’ouest sauvage de la Mongolie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Son nom scientifique remonte \u00e0 1822, date de sa publication par le botaniste tch\u00e8que Carl Borivoj Presl et le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre scientifique tch\u00e8que Jan Svatopluk Presl.<\/span><\/p>\n

Par la suite, des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s telles que\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea candida<\/span><\/em>\u00a0var.\u00a0<\/span>biradiata\u00a0<\/span><\/em>\u00a0,\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea candida<\/span><\/em>\u00a0var.\u00a0<\/span>delicata<\/span><\/em>\u00a0\u00a0, Nymphaea candida var. kosteletzkyi et\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea<\/span><\/em>\u00a0candida\u00a0<\/span>var\u00a0<\/span><\/em>\u00a0.\u00a0<\/span>neglecta<\/span><\/em>\u00a0ont \u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0<\/span>class\u00e9es comme des variations, mais elles ont toutes \u00e9t\u00e9 unifi\u00e9es sous le nom de\u00a0<\/span><\/em>Nymphaea candida<\/span><\/em>\u00a0, les diff\u00e9rences se limitant \u00e0 des variations g\u00e9ographiques\u00a0. Le nombre de chromosomes est de 2n=112<\/span><\/p>\n

et les deux esp\u00e8ces sont souvent m\u00e9lang\u00e9es. Les diff\u00e9rences visuelles entre Nymphaea candida et Nymphaea alba incluent la disposition des nervures des feuilles, la forme de la fleur (son ouverture), le nombre de p\u00e9tales, les \u00e9tamines les plus internes, la couleur du stigmate, le nombre de dentelures et la taille du pollen. Cependant, en Europe et dans d’autres r\u00e9gions o\u00f9 elles poussent \u00e0 l’\u00e9tat sauvage, il existe une forme interm\u00e9diaire,\u00a0<\/span>Nymphaea x borealis<\/span><\/em>\u00a0, un hybride naturel des deux, ce qui peut rendre leur distinction difficile.<\/span><\/p>\n
